For the installation of Foreman that I am putting in place for the client I am working for there is a desired feature they are hoping I can provide them.

Currently the architecture being rolled into production consists of a single Foreman instance installed in a "central" facility. There is an effort underway in the company to provision a backup facility for disaster recovery and the Foreman installation would be duplicated there.

The feature that would assist this would be a method of synchronizing the two instances with the host groups, configuration groups, imported classes, host information etc. This would allow the Foreman instance in the DR site to take over somewhat seamlessly.

The other reason this feature would be useful would be to allow development staff the ability to define host groups and configuration groups in the development environment and package those to be installed on the production Foreman instance.
