Facts import error: no superclass method `setup_clone' for #<Host::Managed...>
Description
Since updating to 1.8 any new hosts that show up do not show IP address/MAC/etc in the UI. I'm seeing this in the logs.

I think there are more issue combined here.
1) you don't see IP and MAC
Where do you try to read this information, host detail or host edit page? Hosts are created as unmanaged so they don't have Network tab visible. If you don't see it in host detail, make sure no other host uses that IP/MAC already. I was unable to reproduce it, could you provide the facts for such host? You can just upload the yaml from /var/lib/puppet/yaml/facts/$fqdn on your puppet master.
2) no superclass method `setup_clone' for #<Host::Managed...>
seems this can happen if unattended setting is set to false, I'll investigate deeper, important question for now - what's unattended configuration value in your setup? There's a chance that #10307 addresses this as well.

This has probably been removed now when unattended's false?

#10307 was filed by the same person, so it's almost certainly false.

Sorry, I missed that :-) unattended = false explains both 1 and 2 then. IP not saved because of the setup_clone issue. The trace indicates it's not the first fact upload but the fqdn issue might cause IP not being saved. So as a fix for this issue we have to disable orchestration in Nic, this fix will depend on #10307 fix. If IP and MAC are still not updated after these two issues are fixed, it still might be that some other host already blocks this IP (we'd see warning in log though).
EDIT: It could be even first upload, new_record? could be true because we run save on host multiple times during import
